Overall Loudest

Bassani Road Rage Touring Exhaust

Bassani makes some of the loudest Harley Touring exhausts. Their unique, heavy sound is our personal favorite when it comes to aftermarket exhausts. You also get sturdy construction and a healthy power up to go along with the loud sound.

Bassani’s focus has always been on making the loudest Harley Touring exhausts and the best sounding. Their sound signature is deep and heavy, making your Harley Touring bike sound more imposing and aggressive.

In fact, Bassani’s exhausts are some of the loudest Harley Touring exhausts at idle. But one crack of the throttle and you are treated to an angry roar that is just as rowdy. If you want one of the loudest Harley Touring exhausts, there are plenty of options. But if you want the exhaust to sound fantastic, Bassani just can’t be beat.

While Bassani’s primary focus is the sound, the rest of the pipe ain’t no slouch either. Most of their loudest Harley Touring exhausts are constructed from the most premium materials. Stainless steel, aluminum, carbon fiber, titanium, you name it.

These premium materials make the pipe more durable and help it withstand the extremely high temperatures and pressure of exhaust gasses. The materials used weigh less than stock, so expect some functional weight savings.

Bassani also offers some really nice finishes for their loudest Harley Touring exhausts. You can find chrome, matte black, and powder-coated pipes for your Harley.

The performance benefits of Bassani pipes need to be mentioned. In fact, you can expect up to a 5 HP increase in power with a full system exhaust and a nice tune. Our tests show that bikes with Bassani’s loudest Harley Touring exhausts accelerate faster, are easier to maneuver thanks to the extra torque, and are more fun.

As cool as Bassani’s exhausts are, they have some minor drawbacks. Firstly, some of their offerings tend to mount a little lower than the stock alternative. This could result in scraping with unusually large bumps. Furthermore, running the loudest Harley Touring exhausts means you could get in trouble with Johnny Law!

Still, the good vastly outweighs the bad. To name a few of Bassani’s cool features, you have integrated heat shields that protect your legs from excess heat. The pipes usually come with a dB killer that you can use to quiet down the exhaust, and of course, all the necessary mounting hardware is included in the box.

Pros
  • Loudest Harley Touring exhaust
  • Deep sound profile
  • Premium materials
  • Various finishes available
  • Enhanced performance
  • Integrated heat shields
  • Lightweight design
  • Sleek design
  • Better acceleration
  • More torque down low
Cons
  • May scrape on large bumps

Budget Loudest

Vance and Hines Radial Sweepers

Vance & Hines might as well be THE aftermarket Harley exhaust brand. Their build quality is unmatched, and they outperform the vast majority of exhausts, all while being one of the loudest Harley Touring exhausts on the market.

With V&H, the first thing you notice is the otherworldly construction. The fit and finish of Vance & Hines’ pipes are unlike any other exhaust brand. They use only the most durable materials for their products, enabling the exhaust to last longer than the Life of the bike!

V&H regularly uses the highest grade of stainless steel in the aftermarket exhaust category. Their exhausts use TIG welds, which look more uniform and improve the exhaust’s structural integrity.

In our tests, V&H pipes held up against the highest pressures and hottest exhaust temperatures. This insane build quality means you don’t have to deal with exhaust leaks or cracks. This allowed the engine to work optimally and deliver better performance.

Speaking of performance, V&H pipes help you unlock a ton of hidden power in the engine. The same free-flowing architecture that makes this one of the loudest Harley Touring exhausts also makes it one of the most powerful.

With the Vance & Hines exhaust installed, we noticed better performance from our Harley Touring bikes. The throttle response was smoother, and passing other vehicles on the highway was easier. We had an easier time maneuvering the bike in tight spots thanks to the weight reduction and extra low-end torque.

That said, there is one problem with the Vance & Hines exhausts. The design language is a bit bland and basic. Personally, we don’t mind the look of these exhausts. The lines of the exhaust complement the Harley Touring bike’s style, and we like the low-key vibe. But again, some folks might prefer a bit more pizazz and drama from their aftermarket exhausts.

V&H didn’t set out to make one of the loudest Harley Touring exhausts, but they came pretty close! The sound is loud and in your face. It is a raucous yet refined sound that fits the Harley Touring bikes really well. One twist of the throttle, and these pipes sing! At idle, the sound is a booming, rumbly one that puts a smile on your face.

Even before idle, these exhausts have a unique air intake sound on cold starts. Little details like this make the Vance & Hines one of our favorites and one of the loudest Harley Touring exhausts.

Besides that, you get full coverage heat shields and plenty of options for the finish to get one that fits your bike.

Pros
  • Best build quality
  • Premium materials
  • Most durable option
  • Loud and raucous exhaust note
  • Beefy sound
  • Healthy power up
  • Improved acceleration
  • More torque down low
  • Multiple color options
  • Integrated heat shields
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Design may be a bit boring for some riders

WORTHY CONSIDERATION

Two Brothers Touring Exhausts for Harley

Two Brothers Racing, or TBR, makes the best performing exhausts for Harley Touring bikes. Add to that the fact that their pipes are also some of the loudest exhausts for Harley Touring bikes, and you’ve got yourself one heck of an awesome exhaust.

Let’s get the obvious out of the way. TBR isn’t renowned for their build quality. In fact, there have been some reports that the surface coating of their exhausts tends to develop a cloudy, blurry look over time. Moreover, some riders have faced exhaust leaks and cracks as well.

However, these problems are only prevalent in older exhaust models and have been ironed out in the new ones. Furthermore, our rigorous testing did not reveal any such issues. In fact, the premium stainless steel used in these exhausts held up really well to abuse and high exhaust temperatures.

At the opposite end of the spectrum, we have TBR’s bread and butter: high performance. Get a Two Brothers exhaust if you want your Harley Touring bike to run like a performance bagger. The free-flowing exhaust architecture of these pipes delivers higher horsepower and torque.

In our testing, the Harley Touring bikes with Two Brothers exhausts fitted routinely outperformed the other bikes. They were noticeably faster to accelerate, had better throttle response, and higher top speed.

This results from Two Brothers’ exceptional exhaust tuning and the massive weight reduction their lightweight exhausts bring to Harley Touring bikes. Two Brothers have a rich history in motorsports, hence the Racing moniker, and it definitely shows in their exhausts.

But how do these pipes sound!? Well, put simply, these pipes belong on the race track. They are some of the rowdiest, angriest sounding, and loudest Harley Touring exhausts. Seriously, you might want to get in the habit of wearing ear protection if you get these exhausts.

We still think Bassani is the loudest and best-sounding exhaust, but the TBR is a close second. Two Brothers exhausts have a high-pitched sound that splits the air in two! It isn’t as deep or rumbly as the other two, but the loud and aggressive tone makes up for it.

Still, the standout feature of Two Brothers exhausts is their unbeatable performance. If you want as much as a 10 HP powerup for your Harley Touring bike, slap a TBR exhaust on there and watch it rip!

Pros
  • Decent build quality
  • Best performance of any exhaust
  • Free-flowing exhaust architecture
  • High pitched sound
  • One of the loudest exhausts for Harley Touring models
  • More aggressive acceleration
  • Race-inspired design
  • Most well-tuned exhaust
  • Lightweight
  • Stylish look
Cons
  • Older exhaust models have poor build
