Overall Best
Rinehart Hi-Flo Performance Baffles

Rinehart’s Hi-Flo Performance baffles are a popular choice for Rinehart’s line of Harley Touring exhausts and slip-ons. The increased exhaust flow delivers a meatier sound and also preserves performance. This set is designed to fit the majority of Rinehart’s pipes, so you won’t have any issues with fitment.
Starting things off with the build quality, we were impressed to find that these baffles use high-quality materials that stand up well to extreme exhaust temperature and pressure. The same materials keep these baffles lightweight, so you don’t add any more weight to the bike than absolutely necessary.
The baffles come in a 2.5”, 23.5” long configuration, which is ideal for most of Rinehart’s own Harley Touring slip-ons and full system exhausts. But fitment will be a problem for the Milwaukee-8 powered Touring models, so keep that in mind. Other than that, these baffles will fit just about any Rinehart exhaust or slip-on.
Moving on to the performance, these baffles employ a unique design that channels exhaust gasses to make their exit from the system louder and more pleasing. The spiral-core design helps amplify sound and make it fuller.
Speaking of, these baffles provide a less restrictive path for exhaust gasses. While this does make the exhaust louder, it doesn’t do much to increase power. But the good news is that it doesn’t negatively affect horsepower or torque, so you don’t end up losing any by installing the baffles.
Lastly, these baffles are sold as a pair, so you can install them on both pipes if you have a set of true dual exhausts.
Pros
- Well-built and durable
- 2.5” baffles, 23.5” long
- Less restrictive design
- Increased exhaust flow
- Do not decrease power or torque
- Louder exhaust noise
- Fuller sounding exhaust
- Compatible with most of Rinehart’s Harley Touring exhausts
- Sold as a pair
Cons
- Won’t fit Milwaukee-8 powered Touring bikes
Worthy Consideration
Rinehart Exhaust Hi-Flo Performance Baffles

These are pretty much the same baffles we talked about in the last review, just made for Indian motorcycles instead of Harleys. You get the same loud and powerful-sounding exhaust noise, the same impressive build, and the same perfect fitment.
The easiest way to review this Rinehart exhaust baffle is to outline the minor differences compared to the last one. For one, this baffle is a bit longer than its Harley counterpart. It measures 26.3” long, perfect for Rinehart’s 4” slip-on mufflers.
Speaking of, this baffle fits the 4” Rinehart slip-on whether you have an Indian Touring, Bagger, or Cruiser model bike. We tested it with all of them and can report that the fitment was precise. It was also quite easy to install the baffles.
One drawback is that these baffles are only compatible with Rinehart’s 4” slip-on for Indian bikes and no other model of exhaust for Indian motorcycles.
As for the sound, you get the same loud and throaty exhaust note as before. Maybe it’s a placebo effect, but we thought this Indian Motorcycle version was ever so slightly deeper and more boomy sounding.
At any rate, the sound is a lot louder than even the 4” slip-on on its own, so we are pretty satisfied with it.
Performance is unchanged compared to stock. The free-flowing design manages to preserve all the stock engine’s power but adds little to it. Again, these baffles are sold in pairs, so you can install them on true duals.
Interestingly, these baffles are a bit cheaper than the ones for Harley Touring models, so that’s a nice plus.
Pros
- Premium materials used
- 2.5” baffles, 26.3” long
- Not as restrictive as stock baffles
- Improved exhaust flow
- Power and torque are the same as stock
- Significantly louder exhaust sound
- Exhaust sound feels a lot deeper
- Precise fitment
- Works with Touring, Cruiser, and Bagger models
- Sold as a pair
Cons
- Only fits the Rinehart 4” slip-on muffler

Universal Motorcycle Baffle

Here we have a set of universally compatible mufflers which don’t cost as much as the other options. They work pretty well, increasing loudness and adding a bit more character to the Rinehart exhaust note.
We liked the design of this universal motorcycle exhaust baffle. We tested it with various Rinehart exhausts and even exhausts from some other companies. We are happy to report that they fit most without any issues.
While not anything that will blow your socks off, the sound quality is pretty good for the price point. These baffles allow for a more free-flowing exhaust, so the sound is louder, though not as loud as the more expensive options. Still, the sound is a definite upgrade over stock, and that’s all it needs to be.
You get a one-year manufacturer warranty covering any manufacturing defects, but we doubt you’ll need it. These baffles are made from pretty sturdy metal and can withstand the highest exhaust temperatures and pressure, so we’re confident they’ll perform well long term.
Pros
- Budget-friendly option
- Universally compatible, with a number of sizes available
- Fits most Rinehart exhausts
- Louder sound than stock
- Slightly deeper sound
- Comes with a one-year manufacturer warranty
- Made from durable metal
- Holds up really well to extreme exhaust pressure and temperature
Cons
- Not as loud as the other options
