I’ve actually toured the production facility and it was awesome to see the level of quality that goes into their exhausts, not to mention they’re based in the US which is a nice plus.

In terms of the benefits this exhaust is gonna bring you, the first and most obvious is weight reduction. Because two into one exhausts reduce weight because there’s less piping compared to a standard two exhaust system, and then the Comp-S is made from high quality stainless steel that will reduce the overall weight further compared to a stock exhaust. Although the amount of weight reduction will depend on the type of material the your stock exhaust is made from.

We decided to recommend the Comp-S because it excels in improving horsepower and subsequent torque, a heavily loaded Harley can be a little slow off the mark depending on how much weight it’s carrying. But once it’s caught some speed it generally will speed up nicely and that added weight becomes less noticeable. To offset this slower that hinders most Harley Baggers the Comp-S will greatly improve the torque and how quickly your speed off at the lights.

In terms of build quality Two Brothers doesn’t leave a stone unturned, the welds on the piping are all made by hand just feeling the exhaust you can feel it’s got top quality build quality, which mirrors the price accordingly. This isn’t a cheap exhaust but for good reason, you’re paying for greatly improved weight reduction, awesome longevity, durability and various performance improvements as well as greater fuel efficiency as the pipes are able to more efficiently move gases from the engine out into the air.

But I’m going on a tour and I need a new 2 into 1 exhaust for my Harley Bagger? Well not to worry, we’ve included a budget option for those who need something decent but cheap.

This was the best cheapest exhaust we could find for a Harley Bagger, we didn’t want to recommend some unknown brand so we stuck with reputation and trust. Bassani mostly produces premium exhausts so we were a little surprised they offereded anything at this price point.

The crossover Eliminator is going to excel at higher speeds and squeeze some higher revs for your Bagger, this is useful for touring although personally I prefer more torque If i’m going to be weighed down. This exhaust is especially long and the diameter of the piping is quite wide. This means it’s really going to excel at high speeds and get your revs higher than they’ve been before.

We found the aesthetic of this exhaust to be a very nice look, the black finish to be a lot better looking although it’s at an extra cost.

Since te Bassani Crossover is a cheaper option, the design of the pipes isn’t top quality which is expected, this means it’s not going to be as loud and have a deep purr like more expensive alternatives.,

You’ll notice the length of this exhaust is quite long and is a chief reason for it being a little quieter than other alternatives but still far better than what a stock exhaust would provide.

We do believe that for Harley Baggers, exhaust systems that maximise higher revs at the cost of torque is more of a drawback but this does come down to personal preference, the Eliminator will improve top speeds but at the cost of some of your motorcycle’s torque, so really it’s up to you.

Vance and Hines have done an excellent job at producing an exhaust that won’t break the bank while looking gorgeous, cutting weight and providing some great performance improvements.

We decided to pick an affordable exhaust similar to Two Brothers, that’s going to really up the level of torque for a Harley Bagger and something Vance and Hines Pro Pipe 2 into 1 will do exceptionally well, you’ll notice it’s quite a short exhaust. Which is perfect for improving your bike’s torque and having a deep loud roar that will let everyone know, ‘Hey there’s a Harley Bagger on the road’.

While the Pro Pipe does lean to more torque improvements since you’ll be dropping a lot of weight compared to a stock exhaust, expect improvements across the board.

The exhaust is mostly made up of high quality chrome, it is going to be heavier than something like stainless steel, at the higher levels of quality you can still get weight reductions. On the same token it’s unmatched in both durability and also longevity. Luckily the Pro Pipe is relatively short and makes up for the weight increase of the chrome.

Compared to stock, this 2 into 1 exhaust is a lot higher off the ground, depending on how hard some riders turn some actually scrape the bottom of their exhaust. The pro pipe is a lot higher off the ground and it’s so short it reduces the chance of scraping, this is going to affect a minority of Harley Bagger riders but still worth noting if you experience the problem.

Now the sound of the Pro Pipe, it’s got a pretty thick roar to i, which is pretty standard from a company like Vance and Hines, but if you’re a bagger rider and going on a tour, a loud exhaust can get a little annoying after a few hours of riding and personally it’s get on my nerves. Luckily you can purchase a separate baffle for the Pro Pipe to make it a lot quieter if that’s what you prefer.

But if you’re more interested in a thundering exhaust that shakes the very earth around where you ride, a separate baffle is available for the Pro Pipe that will enhance this already loud 2 into 1 exhaust.
